The Mandrel is used to test non-separable thin sheet material. Constructional requirements with regard to Protection against Electric Shock for IEC62368 figure 25-28, IEC61558-1 Figure6, IEC60065 Figure14—16 and IEC60950 Annex AA. The test shall be performed by fixing the specimens of thin sheets on a mandrel made of nickel plated steel or brass with smooth surface finish.
Standard outfit:
1 set of weights -1 N-150 N,
1 test frame, with the mandrel according to IEC61558 figure 6a,
1 copper foil, 0,035 mm ± 0,005 mm thick.
